Charles is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, and Chartered Life Underwriter. In 2022, Charles completed the In-Depth Tax Program offered by CPA Canada and in 2018 was awarded the Leslie W. Dunstall Award for the highest CLU final examination marks in Alberta.

Charles currently sits on the Tee Up For Tots Committee for the Stollery Children’s Hospital, and the Financial and Capital Planning Committee for the Royal Mayfair Golf Club. Charles is also an active member of The Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO).
